ABOUT ME
Tacit knowledge doesn't come easily. It requires time and circumstances. My experiential base is second to none. My expertise was gained in peace and in war. As an Israel Air Force Pilot, safety was top of mind. Participating in three wars, one error could have been fatal for me and my crew. Experience gained in the air translated directly to what was happening on the ground. The rigors of aviation safety, accident investigation, and data analysis prepared me well as part of a then "new generation" of aviation safety experts. My work in design and safety education programs, training of medical, engineering,
maintenance, air traffic control, and metallurgical teams for their role in the investigative analysis process contributes to high reliability, adoption, and change management in organizations. After 18 years I took off the military uniform and built a private corporation to apply aviation safety methodologies to healthcare safety initiatives. This included a novel approach to the analysis of medical misadventures, unsafe, and hazardous conditions. Predictive modeling applications and decision science were deployed well before they became common buzz words in the healthcare industry.
